Local food you must try

Mee goreng mamak

A stir-fry noodle dish introduced by the Indian-Muslim community paired with a combination of fish cakes, chicken, prawns, garlic, scallions, tomato sauce, curry spice, sweet soy sauce, boiled potatoes, and eggs and topped with either crispy fried onions, red chillies and a side of lime wedge.

Nasi Lemak 

Traditionally eaten for breakfast, but most now eat any time of the day. Expect rice cooked in coconut milk accompanied with a hard boiled egg, cucumber, chicken or beef curry, fried anchovies and sweet chilli sambal(sauce) 

Rojak

Rojak known as mixture in Malay is an assortment of fried dough fritters, fried tofu, beans sprouts, mango, water chestnuts and pineapple mixed with a thick, sweet nut-based sauce with shrimp paste. Think Sour, sweet and spicy.
