Covid-19 Travel information for klia2 KL International Airport Terminal 2

With safety being the main priority, If you are travelling through klia2 the airport follows strict compliance with the current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place for Covid-19. Airport employees are available to help passengers and ensure processes are practised efficiently. 

Current guidance is making sure face masks are worn, practising physical distance and frequently sanitising.

Expect:

Body Temperature scanning - klia2 screens the body temperature of all airport guests at every point of the entrance to the terminal building.

Physical distancing - Physical distancing markers are in place to help guide airport guests.

Sanitisation - The airport terminals are regularly sanitised and disinfected.

If you are Travelling to Malaysia from 1 April 2022 please follow the current government requirements for entry below provided by the mysafetravel.gov website

1. Download the MySejahtera app and create an account

2. Fill-up the digital pre-departure form via the ‘Traveller’ icon on MySejahtera

3. Verify your digital COVID-19 vaccine certificate here.

4. Take a pre-departure COVID-19 test within 2 days of departure

5. Purchase COVID-19 travel insurance (for short-term foreign visitors)

6. Professional rapid antigen test (RTK-Ag) within 24 hours of arrival

7. 5 days quarantine for partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers. Book your quarantine facilities here.

Please note:

Foreign Nationals MUST check with their nearest Malaysian consulates abroad IF a visa is required first before departure.

Irrespective of nationality, locations, previously infected or not, travellers above 17 years old who are unvaccinated/partially vaccinated MUST quarantine for at least 5 days at the declared address on mySejahtera. Foreign Nationals without valid Malaysian LTP must have covid & travel health insurance before departure to Malaysia.
